Honoring the CRAFT & VALUE
of Furniture in CENTRAL VA
Insured and based out of Amherst, Virginia, Len’s Furniture Repair is a touch-up, repair, re-gluing and refinishing service for furniture, cabinetry, and interior woodwork.
SERVICES
Touch-up (done on-site!)
Wood furniture adds warmth and character to any home. However, scratches, dents, and marks can detract from the charm of your piece. I can fill gouges, re-color dents, touch-up worn corners, buff out water stains, and patch gold leaf finishes — No job is too small!
Re-gluing & Repair
Furniture gets used and abused with regular use over time. Joints loosen, veneer separates, parts break, and pieces of wood go missing. I can re-glue loose joinery, stabilize existing veneer, rebuild missing veneer, repair breaks, and hand craft the pieces that need recreating.
Furniture Refinishing
Wood finishes get warn down over time. Vintage finishes chip and crack. Antique finishes wear off, exposing the wood. I can strip the old finish, sand out imperfections, enhance the natural color with acrylic stains, and spray a custom tinted clear coat to seal the deal.

The Art of
RESTORATION
I’m Len, a restorer by trade, specializing in quality repair and refinishing of fine furniture and antiques. Prior to that, I served in the U.S. Army National Guard as an artilleryman and then as a medic assigned to an infantry company.
After learning the foundations of fine woodworking, I was hired by a prominent architectural woodshop, where I built furniture, exterior doors, and stair parts. Wanting to broaden my skill set, I sought out evening work at a furniture restoration shop.
I mastered basic repair techniques and applied a wide variety of finishes while working alongside master craftsmen in the trade. Then, I started my own repair shop to continue servicing my community’s antiques and family heirlooms.
